THE HISCOCK GALLERY CHILDREN’S ART COMPETITION
Our Children’s Art Competition was launched in 2004 and, now in its third year, has very much become an annual event, looked forward to by local children and parents alike – although you don’t have to be local to enter! We are always thrilled at the number and standard of entries received – Southsea certainly has some very artistic and talented children!
THEME
Each year we choose a theme - the first year it was Winter in Southsea, the second year we chose Historic Portsmouth and last year, Nature in Southsea.
ENTRANTS
Any child between the ages of 1 – 12 can enter. All entries must be produced using pencil, crayon or paint and must be no bigger than A3. Entries are divided into three categories and we have a winner and two runners up in each category.
PRIZES
The children come along to a special prize giving ceremony to receive fabulous art goodies as their prize. But that’s not all as each winner has their work of art professionally framed and then displayed in our window for the world to see.
