Dave Thompson

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Dave attended Newcastle School of Art & Design before moving to the South Coast in 1982. He has worked as a book illustrator for Wileys and also Blackmans for many years, is an experienced caricaturist with water colour and gouache being his preferred mediums.
He enjoys the underground posters of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s and this style is often reflected in his work. Dave admires and is influenced by Tom Eckersley, Abram Games and Charles Rennie Macintosh. To date he continues to live in Southsea.
